I am a father, husband, educator, and lifelong Oregonian. I grew up in Ashland and attended Ashland High School, then earned a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Winchester in England and a Master of Education degree from Portland State University. I have been teaching in public schools around East Multnomah County since 2005, including Corbett High School, Reynolds High School, Gresham High School and Mt. Hood Community College. Right now, I teach special education at local schools while the legislature is not in session. Before being elected to the legislature, I served on the Troutdale City Council, Troutdale Budget Committee and Troutdale Citizens Advisory Committee.
