FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
This FAQ answers the most common questions about data accuracy, scoring, verification, and source coverage.
Is the platform partisan?
The platform presents public records and transparent scoring logic. Methodology should be visible and open to correction.
Why is some local data missing?
Local offices are fragmented across thousands of jurisdictions. Right for Office uses free public sources first and expands coverage over time.
Can candidates update profiles?
Candidate claiming and questionnaire workflows are being prepared for public account access.
Where does data come from?
FEC, Congress.gov, OpenStates, Census, Wikidata, public RSS/GDELT news links, and curated verification records. Production-restricted NewsAPI data is not used in Phase 1.
