Print June 13 , 2026 WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, June 13, 2026, U.S. Representative Warren Davidson (OH-08) released the following statement after a short-term extension of FISA Section 702 failed to pass the House and the authority lapsed Friday night. “Section 702 is an important tool for monitoring foreign threats and protecting national security, but it should not be used as a blank check to spy on Americans without a warrant,” said Davidson. “While Section 702’s
