Tony graduated from Yale University in 1982 and worked for several years as a journalist for the Associated Press and United Press International in Mexico, Central America and London. After settling in New Hampshire, he and his wife raised three kids in Henniker on Ray Road. Before serving in the legislature, Tony worked for more than 20 years as a high school Spanish teacher at the Derryfield School in Manchester, Hillsborough High School, and Lebanon High School. He has been the Chair of the Henniker Energy Committee, the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Henniker Democratic Town Committee, and a town soccer coach. Tony Caplan has served two terms as State Representative for his district in Henniker, Bradford, and Warner during which he worked consistently to serve the interests of local communities and working families.
