Tone Felipe

State Representative Antonio “Tone” Felipe is proudly serving his fourth term representing Connecticut’s 130th District (Bridgeport) in the House of Representatives. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Tone is a proud product of the very neighborhoods he now has the privilege to represent. Of Puerto Rican, Italian, Irish, and Dominican heritage, he is the first Dominican American ever elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives. Tone’s dedication to service began at a young age. As a child and teenager, he volunteered at Bridgeport’s Annual Three Kings Day celebration, the Connecticut Central Coast YMCA, and Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leaders. These early experiences rooted him in the city’s civic life and inspired a lifelong commitment to public service. His passion for engagement propelled him into political organizing, and at just 18 years old he became the youngest field coordinator in the 2014 gubernatorial race. Since then he has helped register thousands of Bridgeport residents to vote. Tone currently works at the University of Bridgeport as the Manager of Community Partnership. Rep.
