State Rep. Tim Ackert proudly represents the 8th General Assembly District, which encompasses Bolton, Columbia, Coventry, Lebanon, and part of Tolland. He was re-elected to serve a seventh term in November 2022. Rep. Ackert serves on the Labor and Public Employees Committee, the Energy and Technology Committee, and the General Law Committee. Additionally, Rep. Ackert serves the House Republican Caucus as a Deputy Leader At-Large, a position which reflects his leadership in the chamber and involves mobilizing votes on a range of bipartisan issues. Rep. Ackert is a small business owner and an Air Force Veteran. He has a long history of service to his community, participating on the Board of Trustees for Connecticut Community Colleges, as Vice-Chairman of the Police Building Committee, as an American Legion Officer, and as President of the Connecticut Jaycees.
