Teresa Tanzi

Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi has served the people of Narragansett and South Kingstown in District 34 since she was first elected in November 2010. She is a member of the House Finance Committee and chairs its Human Services Subcommittee. She is also a member of the House State Government and Elections Committee. Representative Tanzi has been a leader in safeguarding the limited resources Rhode Island has for economic development by making sure new and existing tax incentives provide a benefit to the state's economy and its residents. In recent years she has sponsored laws to provide stable funding for mobile youth crisis response teams , to create the Ladders to Licensure grant program to address the statewide shortage of medical professionals, to protect workers reporting sexual harassment or other illegal activity from non-disclosure agreements , and to seal eviction court records .
