Senator Shawn Still, a Republican, has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2022. He represents Senate District 48, which includes portions of Fulton, Forsyth and Gwinnett counties. GEORGIA’S 48TH SENATE DISTRICT Sen. Still serves as a member of the Senate Committees on Administrative Affairs, Education and Youth, Finance, Judiciary, and Transportation. He is also an Ex- Officio member of the Senate Committees on Insurance and Labor and Veterans, Military, and Homeland Security. Sen. Still is honored to serve the people of his hometown, Johns Creek, as well as the great citizens of Georgia. He graduated from the University of Alabama with his B.A., where he also participated in collegiate swimming and rugby. In his freshman year, Sen. Still was honored as the Freshman Legislator of the Year by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Greater Georgia. He was also proud to have received a perfect score by the Faith and Freedom Coalition. Sen. Still is the President of Olympic Pool Plastering and Shotcrete, one of the largest pool contractors in the Southeast. He prides himself on employing more than one hundred Georgians. Sen.
