State Representative Robin Comey has served the residents of Connecticut’s 102nd House District in Branford since 2019. A long-standing member of the legislature’s Education Committee and Committee on Children, she also serves as Vice Chair of Human Services, where she leads the Care Coordination Committee of the Council on Medical Assistance Program Oversight (MAPOC). In that role, she monitors and advises the Department of Social Services on the planning and implementation of HR 1, the federal budget bill introducing mandatory work requirements and spending reductions to Medicaid providers. Rep. Comey is a passionate champion for quality early childhood care and the health and safety of Connecticut’s children. Throughout her career, she has worked to build a robust early care system with the long-term goal of providing universal free childcare to Connecticut families. Recognizing the critical role of early intervention in child development, she partners with Birth to Three service providers and works in an advisory capacity for our area’s maternal home visiting programs to advocate for increased funding.
