ROB NORTH, Addison-3, lives in Ferrisburgh. His wife, Elaine, of 21 years is a native Vermonter. They have four children, three successfully launched with one still at home in high school, and two grandsons. He was born in Lafayette, IN, grew up and went through high school in New Jersey. Rob earned a BSEE from Duke University and MSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He worked for Honeywell for five years designing the Attitude Determination & Control System for Space Station Freedom then moved to Vermont to work for BF Goodrich in Vergennes, which is now Collins Aerospace. He retired early after a successful career, including roles as Director of Quality Assurance and Engineering Technical Fellow. After retirement, he coached high school and middle school soccer, taught high school math in Williston, and served as alternate Act 250 Commissioner in Addison County and Ferrisburgh Justice of the Peace. Rob has chaired or presided over multiple church-related organizations and committees. In summer, he likes to jetski, windsurf, sail, and power boat.
