Raymond A. Hull (D) has served the residents of District 6 in Providence and North Providence since first being elected in November 2010. Representative Hull was appointed Deputy Speaker in January 2023. He is a member of the House Finance Committee, the House Municipal Government and Housing Committee, and the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. Deputy Speaker Hull introduced a bill into law in 2025 that creates a public outreach campaign about textile recycling , which will benefit cities and towns by reducing tipping fees if textiles are recycled properly as opposed to being thrown away. He also sponsored a bill enacted into law that increases the penalty when a motorist travels the wrong way on an interstate highway or an entrance/exit ramp connected to an interstate highway. In 2024, Deputy Speaker Hull introduced the Law Enforcement Officers' Due Process, Accountability and Transparency Act , which will bring significant and long-overdue reforms to the Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights (LEOBOR).
