Raghib Allie-Brennan is currently in his fourth term representing Connecticut’s 2nd Assembly District, encompassing Bethel and parts of Danbury. Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Bethel, Raghib is the son of a small business owner who immigrated from Guyana. He graduated from Bethel High School in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College in 2013. His early career included serving as a congressional policy advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he focused on energy, environmental policy, disaster relief, and civil rights legislation. Since 2018, Raghib has been at the forefront of shaping energy policy, pushing for renewable investments, stronger oversight of utilities, and greater protections for consumers.
