Representative Phillip Pettus was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 4, 2014. He is a graduate of Rogers High School and attended Shelby State Community College and the University of North Alabama. Representative Pettus served as an Alabama State Trooper and obtained the rank of captain before retiring in 2013 after 25 years of service. He and his wife, Mary, are the parents of three children and have five grandchildren. They attend Loretto Church of Christ.
