As an attorney, Nelson has 25+ years successfully representing businesses and individuals in legal issues. As a successful small business owner, Nelson understands the growth and infrastructure challenges facing our community, as well as the importance of conservative fiscal policy. While a BYU adjunct professor of business law (Accounting Program), Nelson taught students about the laws and accounting principles that lead to successful businesses. He has a Juris Doctor & Master of Business Administration and B.A. in Economics from BYU. As a board member of several non-profit organizations, Nelson has provided legal insight and volunteered his time to help make his community a better place. As a state delegate, a county delegate, a legislative vice chair, a legislative chair and a member of the Utah County Republican Party Constitution and Bylaws Committee, Nelson has supported the effort to have Republican ideals enacted into law. Nelson is a husband, a father of four children and a grandfather. He has lived in Orem for 30 years.
