State Representative Mitch Bolinsky is serving his seventh term in the Connecticut General Assembly, proudly representing his hometown, Newtown. Mitch Bolinsky again has been re-appointed as Assistant Leader by Republican caucus leadership, as well as remaining Ranking Member of the Aging Committee. Additionally, Bolinsky’s long-standing service on the legislature’s powerful budget-writing Appropriations Committee, and on the Education Committee will continue. New for the 2025 session, Bolinsky is pleased and proud to announce my appointment to serve as the lead Republican on the newly created Select Committee on Special Education. Since becoming a legislator, Mitch has been a vocal advocate on issues concerning children who “learn differently”, particularly the importance of early detection, and proven, science-based interventions to support learning before a child is left to fall behind. Representative Bolinsky is dedicated to providing caring constituent service to the children, families, seniors and businesses in town.
