I have spent much of my life in education, having taught in public schools, parochial schools, and military schools, as well as on the community college and university levels. My undergraduate and graduate studies occurred at the University of New Hampshire and Plymouth State College. My post-graduate work occurred at the University of San Diego. I was earlier elected to serve on a school board and my graduate degree in is education. I also served as a reserve Marine Corps infantry officer, retiring as a lieutenant colonel, after years of service which included deployments to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. I earlier served two terms on the House Education Committee and two terms on the House Committee for State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs, for which I was Vice-Chair and then Chair. I continue to teach online and am an author and columnist.
