Senator Mike Hodges, a Republican, was elected to the Georgia State Senate’s 3rd District in 2022. He represents Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn and McIntosh counties as well as portions of Ware county. Sen. Hodges is a Brunswick native, graduating from Brunswick High School in 1971. He received his BBA in Banking and Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He also received additional degrees in finance from the UGA School of Banking and The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. Sen. Hodges serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Reapportionment and Redistricting and Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking and Financial Institutions. Sen. Hodges is retired from the field of banking and finance. He is a founder of the First Bank of Brunswick, being named the CEO in 1996.
