Michael DiGiovancarlo

State Representative Michael DiGiovancarlo of the 74 th District is proudly representing the people of the East Mountain and East End neighborhoods of Waterbury in the General Assembly. Rep. DiGiovancarlo became the first Democrat to represent the 74 th District in over 20 years. He is currently a Deputy Majority Whip at Large and Vice Chair of the Public Safety Committee. He is a member of the Veterans and Military Affairs, Aging, and Public Safety & Security Committees. Rep. DiGiovancarlo is a lifelong Waterbury resident who has actively worked to improve his community. He is a 18-year veteran of the Waterbury Police Department and is currently serving as a community relations officer. He has also served on the Waterbury Board of Alderman for the past eight years, currently as the Board’s President. Rep. DiGiovancarlo is a staunch advocate for public safety in Waterbury and across the state. He also supports small businesses and improving our state education system. He will make sure the needs and concerns of Waterbury's residents are heard and addressed. Rep. DiGiovancarlo lives in Waterbury with his wife, Tracy and his two sons.
