Margaret Scarsdale

Margaret Scarsdale began her tenure as State Representative for the 1 st Middlesex District in January 2023. Prior to her role in the state legislature, Margaret served as Chair of the Pepperell Select Board, in addition to her other community work (see below). Fueled by a passion for community and economic development, Margaret has worked hard to advance policies and programs that support the small towns in the First Middlesex District, with a focus on building and sustaining vibrant communities. As a high school dropout, and the product of a home that struggled with mental health and economic issues, Margaret is committed to dismantling socioeconomic barriers to success and ensuring that everyone has an equitable opportunity to pursue their dreams and goals.
