LEANNE HARPLE was born and raised on a Christmas tree farm in the Northeast Kingdom and cares passionately about standing up for rural Vermonters. She lives in her hometown of Glover with her husband, Jeremy, and their children, where she is a former select board member and a current Justice of the Peace. She attended Johnson State College, earning undergraduate degrees in creative writing and theater arts and a graduate degree in education. For more than a decade, she has worked as a high school English teacher at Hazen Union School in Hardwick and is a fierce advocate of public education. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, acting, hosting pub trivia, traveling, and occasionally writing for her local newspaper. Leanne loves living in a small town and hopes that through her service to the State of Vermont, she will be able to help preserve our rural communities forever. Member of the House of Representatives: 2025–present.
