Senator Larry Walker, III, a Republican, has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2015. He represents Senate District 20, which includes Bleckley, Dodge, Dooly, Laurens, Treutlen, Pulaski and Wilcox counties, as well as a majority of Houston county. GEORGIA’S 20TH SENATE DISTRICT Sen. Walker currently serves as the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. He also serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Administrative Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Labor and Secretary of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Consumer Affairs. Sen. Walker was born and raised in Perry, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, he worked as a staff accountant for The Coca-Cola Company and later for Walker Rhodes Tractor Company before founding Walker Insurance Agency in Perry. Sen. Walker is a committed family man. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Adrienne, for 41 years. Together they have three sons: Ben, Cody and Wade and a grandson.
