Kimberly N. Ferguson was first elected State Representative for the First Worcester District in November 2010 and is currently serving her eighth term. The First Worcester District is comprised of Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, and Westminster. In January 2021, Representative Ferguson was named 2nd Assistant Minority Leader for the House and in November 2021, was named Assistant Minority Leader. She continues to serve in this position. Representative Ferguson recently completed ten years as Ranking Member on the Joint Committee on Education, and played a key role in passage of the Student Opportunity Act, as well as several other key education initiatives. She has served on the Joint Committee on Ways and Means, the House Committee on Bills in the Third Reading, the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities, and the Foundation Budget Review Commission. She has co-chaired the MA Brain Injury Commission and served on the Families and Children Requiring Assistance Advisory Board.
