State Representative Kerry Wood represents Connecticut’s 29th House District, which is comprised of Rocky Hill and part of Wethersfield. Rep. Wood is dedicated to addressing the issues facing the district, which include a strong public school system, addressing rising costs, protecting the environment, working towards a modern rail and road system, and economic investments that strengthen our economy. Rep. Wood currently works at New England Retail Properties, located in Wethersfield, CT, and does commercial leasing and sales throughout the region. Through her extensive experience in business, she seeks to bring innovative ideas to the Capitol to foster economic growth and attract new businesses. Some of those ideas involved investing in a college loan pay-off program for skilled workers, collaborating with Connecticut businesses and bolstering the small business sector through streamlining loans, and addressing rising health insurance costs.
