Senator Kay Kirkpatrick, a Republican, has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2017. She represents Senate District 32, which includes portions of Cobb and Cherokee counties. GEORGIA’S 32ND SENATE DISTRICT Senator Kirkpatrick serves as the Secretary of the Majority Caucus as well as Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Children and Families, Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, and Secretary of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Labor. She also serves as a member of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and Ex-Officio member of the Senate Committees on Government Oversight, Rules, and Veterans, Military and Homeland Security. She is an appointed member of the Georgia Joint Defense Commission and a legislative liaison to the Commission on the Holocaust. Sen. Kirkpatrick also represents the Senate on the Behavioral Health Coordinating Council, Council of State Governments Health and Public Safety Committee and the National Conference of State Legislatures Children, Families and Human Services Committee.
