KATE LOGAN of Burlington, Chittenden County, Progressive/Democrat, was elected in 2022. Kate grew up in a racially, ethnically, and religiously diverse working class community in the Chicago area. She is the first person in her family to graduate from college and graduate school, and completed her degrees while she was a single parent. Since moving to Vermont in 2013, Kate has held numerous positions in the non-profit and government sectors working to advance progressive public policy across a variety of issues, each related to her undergraduate and graduate studies of democracy, human rights, economics, and social and economic oppression. She also has extensive experience in cooperative child care and housing. Kate currently serves as the Director for the Vermont Coalition of Runaway and Homeless Youth Programs, based in Berlin. She lives in the Bright Street Housing Cooperative in the Old North End with her two children and cat. In her leisure time, she enjoys dance, hiking, camping, snowboarding, travel, reading, cooking, and art. Member of the House of Representatives: 2023 - present.
