Beginning legislative service in 2019, Representative Hawkins stands as the voice for the people of Utah House District 55, serving the community of Pleasant Grove and is commitment to improving the lives of his constituents. Born and raised in Utah, Representative Hawkins attended Mountain View High School and continued his education at Brigham Young University (BYU), majoring in Public Relations. During this time, he met and married his wife, Mary Hinkley. Following graduation, the couple relocated to Washington, D.C., where Representative Hawkins initiated his career in public relations at Edelman Worldwide. During his time at Edelman, he made impactful contributions to national and international public affairs campaigns. Ultimately, Representative Hawkins and his family returned to Utah settling in Pleasant Grove. Here, he continued his professional growth and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from BYU's Marriott School of Management, then went on to obtain a Master of Public Administration degree from Southern Utah University.
