Representative John Hewkin, a Republican, represents Dent and Crawford Counties (District 120) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first term in November 2024. Born in Salina, Kansas, Rep. Hewkin attended Crawford County R-II and graduated in 1979. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1985. A pharmacist for nearly 40 years, he owned and operated Towne Pharmacy in Cuba, Missouri for many years and currently works in the Pharmacy of BJC Sullivan Hospital. Recognized for his excellence in the field, he received the King of Courtesy and Outstanding Young Pharmacist awards from the Missouri Pharmacy Association in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Outside of his legislative duties, Rep. Hewkin attends Temple Baptist Church, serves on the board of FCNB Bank, and is a board member of the Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center. He and his wife, Patricia “Lynne,” reside in Cuba and have four children: Stephanie, Michelle, Shannon, and Ryan. They also enjoy time with their 19 grandchildren.
