In 1978 I moved to Alstead, NH drawn to the strong sense of community and quality of life. My wife and I have two grown children and live on a homestead with vegetable gardens, a sugar house, and a small vineyard. My career has focused on empowering communities in sustainable development. This included working in local government management, developing passive-solar technology, consulting with local NH government, teaching and Chairing the Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University in Keene, and working with four Eastern European nations on environmental policy and democracy recovery. Academic background: Civil Engineering (and licensed in Civil Engineer in NH): San Diego State University Science: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Public Administration: Harvard Kennedy School of Government; PhD Environmental Conservation: University of Zagreb.
