JAMES A.R. GREGOIRE of Fairfield, Franklin County, Republican was born in St. Albans, Vermont in 1974. He grew up in Fairfield and was educated at Fairfield Center School. He is a 1992 graduate of B.F.A. St Albans. He furthered his education earning an A.S. in Business Management and an A.S in Accounting at CCV as well as a B.A. in Secondary Education, an M. Ed in Curriculum & Instruction and an M. Ed in Educational Leadership from UVM. James has one son, James Jr., who is a crew chief in the Vermont Air National Guard. James currently operates Convenience Store in Fairfield. He has worked as a manager in manufacturing/distribution, as an educator, served in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 1997 and in the Vermont National Guard from 1997-2005. James served as a Lister for the Town of Fairfield from 2003 to 2023 and served on the Planning and Zoning Commissions for nine years. He is also a past board member of the Fairfield Community Center. He was Commander of American Legion Post 1 in St. Albans for two terms, 1st Vice Commander for two terms and 2nd Vice Commander for three terms. He served on the American Legion Department of Vermont Education
