State Representative Jack Daniels is serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives after being appointed to the legislature in 2024. He represents the 32nd House District, which consists of the southern portion of Summit County and the eastern neighborhoods of Akron. In addition serving as the Vice Chair of the House Transportation Committee, Daniels serves on the Insurance, Small Business, and Ways and Means committees. He attended the University of Akron before beginning his career as an entrepreneur. In 1991, Daniels purchased Kandel Transport Inc., a trucking company. Daniels oversaw the continued expansion of the organization, founding Kandel Cold Storage just six years later. Additionally, he founded and sold two other companies: Armstrong Refrigeration Truck and Trailer Repair and Gilchrist Truck Parts. Most recently, Daniels stepped in as president and part owner of Stutler Leasing Inc. He also serves on various boards, including founding and serving as Chairman of the Board for the Manchester Education Foundation.
