Hubert Delany

Hubert D. Delany III was elected to the Connecticut General Assembly in 2022 to proudly represent Stamford's 144th Assembly District in the House of Representatives. Hubert serves as the house vice-chairman of the veterans and military affairs committee and as assistant majority leader. He is also a member of both the Appropriations and Judiciary Committees. Hubert is a strong advocate for fiscally responsible and socially equitable legislation, and he has voted positively for some of CT's largest tax cuts, as well as common sense gun reform, reproductive health care, and the defense and expansion of voting rights. In addition to being a State Representative, Hubert Delany is also a U.S. Army Sergeant who serves as a photojournalist, writer, mass communications specialist, and paratrooper. As a military journalist, Delany has helped to tell the story of the U.S. Soldier all over the world. His photos, videos, and stories have been featured in news publications such as CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, USA Today, and others. As a lifelong CT resident, Delany is also a local community champion.
