District State Rep. Greg VanWoerkom was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2018. He represents the new 88th House District, which encompasses parts of Muskegon County and Ottawa County. The district includes Ferrysburg, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and his hometown of Norton Shores, along with the townships of Crockery, Olive, Port Sheldon, and Robinson. Committees Rep. VanWoerkom is a member of the House Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for deliberating on the annual budget and supplemental budget measures. He also serves on several House Appropriations Subcommittees. He is chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Medicaid and Behavioral Health and vice chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government.
