Representative Ginny Shaver was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives on November 5, 2018. She attended Gadsden State Community College and Chattahoochee Valley Community College majoring in accounting and computer science and continued her education at Jacksonville State University. Representative Shaver has 17 years of experience in municipal government being employed by the City of Gadsden and serving as Town Clerk of Leesburg. Prior to that, she owned Shaver Tax & Bookkeeping for nearly ten years. She serves as a member of the Alabama State Republican Executive Committee, Vice-Chair of the Cherokee County Republican Executive Committee, and President of the Cherokee County Republican Women. Ginny is married to Jeff Shaver, and they are the parents of Jake, Jennilee Baker, and Harry. They have two grandsons, Waylon and Forrest. She is a member of Tates Chapel Baptist Church in Centre.
