​Ed Diehl State Representative House District 17 PROFILE I was born and raised in Plains, Montana. I have lived in Oregon since 1989 and consider it my home. Jamie, my wife of 36 years, was raised in Scio and we have lived there since 1997. We raised our two children in the Santiam community where they attended K-12 in the North Santiam School District. I joined the Catholic Church in 2011; it has been a life changing experience. I have a passion for serving others, working on machines, and learning about technology. I am an instrument-rated private pilot and fly every chance I get. In addition to flying, rebuilding classic vehicles and playing with new gadgets, I enjoy spending time with Jamie, summers at the family lake house in Montana, and our children's growing families.
