District State Rep. Douglas C. Wozniak was first elected to serve in the Michigan House in November 2018. He was re-elected in November 2024 to represent the 59 th House District after serving in the state Senate. The 59 th District encompasses portions of Macomb and Shelby townships in Macomb County. Committees Wozniak serves as chairman of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, vice chair of Families and Veterans, and as a member of the Judiciary and Regulatory Reform Committees. Education Wozniak graduated from Harper Woods High School and is a graduate of both the University of Michigan with a degree in mathematics and Michigan State University with a juris doctor degree. Professional Wozniak is a small-business owner and practicing attorney at his own law firm. He is also a licensed insurance agent, realtor and broker.
