State Representative Doreen Carter is the vice chair of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and proudly represents Georgia House District 93, serving portions of DeKalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties. A respected legislator, nonprofit executive, accountant and community leader, Rep. Carter has dedicated her career to advancing education, economic opportunity, fiscal responsibility and community development throughout Georgia. A native Georgian and lifelong resident of DeKalb County, Rep. Carter earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Arts in Theology from Life Christian University. In recognition of her distinguished leadership in business, public service and community development, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Christian Business Management from Great Commission Bible College & Seminary.
