District Rep. Donni Steele was elected state representative in November 2022. She represents the 54th House District, which includes the city of Bloomfield Hills, Orion Township, a portion of the city of Auburn Hills, and portions of Bloomfield Township and Oakland Township. Committees Steele serves on the House Appropriations Committee, as chairwoman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Local Transportation, vice chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and Insurance and Financial Services, and as a member of the Joint Capital Outlay and Public Health Appropriations subcommittees. Education A lifelong Oakland County resident, Steele graduated from Lake Orion High School. She then studied at Western Michigan University and Hillsdale College, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
