DEBORAH CORDZ DOLGIN, of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia-Essex district, represents areas that cover St. Johnsbury, Concord, and Kirby. Born and raised in Ridgewood, NJ, she is the youngest of three children. She graduated from high school in 1970. Later, she graduated from SUNY at Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education. She continued her education, completing her Masters in Education from UVM. Thirty-one years ago, she married her husband, Steve Dolgin, who was born and raised in St. Johnsbury. Together they have three grown children and eight grandchildren. For seven years, she taught Middle School in Lyndonville, VT. Four of those years she wrote the curriculum and she brought Home Economics to five outlying schools. Her husband and she both earned their pilot licenses in 2011. They were very involved with the Experimental Aircraft Association at Caledonia County Airport. Their local EAA Chapter gave many free flights to area children. They took this new knowledge a step further and developed an afterschool program in Aviation for middle school.
