Representative Darin Harbick, District 12 is a native Oregonian who was raised along the McKenzie River by parents who instilled Christian values, modeled work ethics, and taught the value of family, friends, and community. He married his high-school sweetheart, Kail at the age of 20 and together they raised three children and now enjoy five grandchildren. Together they have built, purchased, and founded several businesses in the upper McKenzie Valley. While managing their businesses Darin served fourteen years on the McKenzie School Board, the Lane County Tourism Board and coached high school and college women's basketball. Darin's entrepreneurship career began when he purchased Phil's Phine Phoods in 1991 and shortly after built Harbick's Country Store which he owned for 20 years. A decade later he built Takoda's Restaurant which he sold in 2023 to his daughter and her husband (Taya and Daniel Brock). In 2024 he sold Harbick's Inc., a logging and dump truck business to his son Trey (Trey and Carlie Harbick).
