State Representative Darin Chappell, a Republican, represents part of Greene County (District 137) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2022. Prior to his time in the legislature, Chappell served as the city administrator for Chillicothe, Bolivar, and Seymour. He also is a former Missouri State University adjunct professor on the topics of the constitution and the impact of the foundational documents of American government, and public budgeting and finance at the graduate level. Chappell is a veteran of the United States Navy and the Army Reserves. Passionate about serving his community, Chappell is involved with the Rotary Club, the MO Main Street Advisory Board, the American Legion, and the Veterans in Defense of Liberty organization. He is also an active member of the church of Christ in Fordland. A graduate of Springfield Kickapoo High School, Chappell obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University. Chappell and his wife reside in Rogersville, where his family has lived since 1836. They have three children and six grandchildren.
