Dan Veilleux grew up in the Central Maine towns of Winslow and Clinton. He attended the University of Maine in Orono, where he earned a BA in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in public finance. His professional background includes experience in both the public and private sectors. He worked as an accountant for the US Senate Sergeant at Arms office in Washington, D.C., and later in economic development, helping to form public-private partnerships to promote state economic interests. He also held additional positions in the private sector, including financial, managerial accounting, and operations management.
