Representative Chris Erwin is currently serving his eighth term in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he represents House District 32. He presently serves as Chairman of the House Education Committee. In addition to chairing Education, Rep. Erwin serves on several key standing committees, including Appropriations, Insurance, Intragovernmental Coordination, Retirement, Rules and State Planning & Community Affairs, reflecting both the range of his policy expertise and the trust placed in him by House leadership. Before entering elected office, Rep. Erwin built a distinguished career in public education. He retired after 10 years as Superintendent of the Banks County School System and previously served as a school administrator in Carroll County and Henry County. He is a former president of the Georgia School Superintendents Association and has served on the executive board of the American Association of School Administrators, as well as the board of the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders.
