As a public servant, university instructor, realtor, neighborhood leader, mother, and grandmother, Senator Catherine D. Ingram understands how decisions made in Columbus directly impact everyday lives. Senator Ingram represents Ohio’s 9th Senate District. Prior to her service in the Senate, she served three terms in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 32nd District. She also dedicated more than 20 years to the Cincinnati Board of Education, including service as both president and vice president in the mid-1990s. During her legislative tenure, she has held key leadership roles. In the Senate, she serves as Ranking Member on the Education, Workforce Development, and Higher Education Committees, and is also a member of Controlling Board, Health, Medicaid, and Finance Committees. She also serves as the co-convener of the Ohio Black Maternal Health Caucus. Senator Ingram earned both her bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
