District Rep. Cam Cavitt was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. He represents the 106 th District, which includes the Northern Michigan counties of Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, Presque Isle, and portions of both Oscoda and Cheboygan. Committees Cavitt serves as a member of the House Appropriations Committee; chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE); vice chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Military and Veteran Affairs; and as a member of the Labor and Economic Opportunity, and Corrections and Judiciary Appropriations Subcommittees. Education Cam received his associate degree from KVCC then attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Professional Cam has been a northern Michigan realtor for over 20 years.
