Elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2010, State Representative Bruce Williamson currently serves as a member of the following House committees: Banks & Banking; Energy, Utilities, & Telecommunications; Insurance; Regulated Industries; Rules; Transportation and Ways & Means. He also served as the House Majority Caucus Chairman for eight years and is the current House Majority Caucus Chair. Bruce has been recognized as the Technology Association of Georgia’s Legislator of the Year (twice), the Georgia Chamber Legislator of the Year, and he has also received the National Federation of Independent Business (NIFB) Guardian of Small Business Award. His legislative focus is tax policy and business and job development. He is passionate about supporting Georgia business, as well as reducing taxes and keeping Georgia small businesses competitive. As Chairman of the Income Tax Subcommittee of Ways & Means, he has helped pass legislation creating the current Georgia Flat Income tax as well as income tax cuts.
