Brian is serving his first term as the representative for the 12th District, which includes Chelan County and parts of Snohomish and King counties. His legislative priorities are to: Protect public safety by supporting law enforcement that enhances community safety Defend private property rights Reduce taxes and rein in government spending Stand up for families, parents, and constitutional freedoms Protect victims and combat human trafficking Before coming to Olympia, Brian spent more than 25 years in law enforcement, including 12 years as Chelan County’s elected Sheriff. His steady hand while leading local communities through wildfires, floods, and public safety crises has allowed him to bring a wealth of experience to his new role as a state legislator. Brian has served as the president of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs and the Washington State Sheriffs’ Association. He has also been a commissioner for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, appointed by the Governor.
