Aundré Bumgardner

Aundré Bumgardner is serving his third non-consecutive term as State Representative for Connecticut’s 41st House District, proudly representing the people of Groton, Mystic, and Stonington in the Connecticut General Assembly. In the legislature, Bumgardner focuses on protecting the environment, strengthening small businesses, and cutting taxes for working families. He serves as Vice Chair of the Environment Committee and is a member of the Energy & Technology, Transportation, and Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committees. He also serves on both the General Obligation Bonding and Transportation Bonding Subcommittees. In addition, he serves as Assistant Majority Leader and Secretary of the legislature’s Black and Puerto Rican Caucus. Bumgardner was first elected in 2014 at age 20, becoming the youngest state representative in Connecticut history. He later served as Outreach Coordinator in the Office of the State Treasurer.
