ANNE WATSON was born in Burlington, Vermont and grew up in Essex. She received her BS in physics with a minor in mathematics from Penn State University. Her graduate degree from the University of Vermont is in secondary education. Anne has been a science and math teacher since 2004. She is an ultimate Frisbee coach and has served on the Vermont Youth Ultimate League. She was appointed to the Montpelier City Council in 2012 to represent District 2, and she maintained that seat through three elections. She was elected Mayor of Montpelier in 2018 and again in 2020 and 2022. Anne enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She lives in Montpelier with her husband and son. Member of the Senate: 2023–present
