Angela Rigas

District State Rep. Angela Rigas was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. Rigas represents the 79 th District, which encompasses portions of Allegan, Barry, and Kent counties, and specifically the townships of Byron (part), Caledonia, Gaines, Irving, Leighton, Rutland, and Thornapple. Committees Rigas serves as a member of the Committee on Oversight, chair of the Oversight Subcommittee on Weaponization of State Government, vice chair of the Oversight Subcommittee on Child Welfare System, and as a member of the Committee on Regulatory Reform. Education Rigas is a graduate of Hastings High School and small-business owner in the Salon Industry. Professional and personal background Rigas is a life-long Michigan resident who resides in the Alto area in Kent County with her husband, Dave, and their four boys, three dogs, and four cats.
