Hola, my name is Andrea Valderrama ( ella/she/her ), and I proudly represent Outer east Portland (HD 47) in the Legislature. When I was appointed in 2021, I became the first Peruvian American in the Oregon State Legislature. I represent Outer East Portland (HD 47). The district sits on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas Bands of the Chinook and many other tribes who made their home along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. I've lived in House District 47 for nearly a decade and am committed to building a better future for all our children and families. I lead with my values of racial, economic, disability and gender justice and continue this legislative session to advocate for affordable housing, access to quality education, comprehensive and accessible healthcare services, equitable economic recovery, and community safety, and climate resiliency. When I took office in April 2021, I helped bring women into the majority of the House of Representatives for the first time in Oregon’s history. I'm also proud to serve the families, residents, and diverse communities in House District 47 and as the first Peruvian-American in the Oregon State Legislature.…
